In 1978, a small, two-bay VW repair shop on Boulder Street called “Volck’s World”  was transformed into Import Specialty Auto, a full-service repair shop focusing on Volvo, Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Subaru, Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, Nissan, and other import vehicles. ISA technicians soon began to distinguish themselves as the premiere Volvo experts in Colorado Springs.

In the late 1980s, while continuing to specialize in Volvos, ISA became specialists in Subaru and Toyota vehicles as well. In the late 1990s, we added late-model VWs and Audis to our list of specialties. Today, Import Specialty Auto is one of the only remaining shops in Colorado Springs that truly specializes in imports. It’s all we do.

While our building has changed a lot over the years, our mission has not. We exist to develop and maintain long-term relationships, built on mutual trust, with Colorado Springs’ import drivers.
